Long day, many lectures.

Read a few papers on shape histograms during the first two weeks. Then, worked on an implementation of a spherical, global histogram to use with the Princeton Shape Benchmark for use in comparison with another model Brad is working on. In the final stages of the implementation, just need to do a final error calculation. Depending on the output of that, I can determine what my next tasks will be.

I'm really enjoying the program so far. Getting a feel for the research environment, and have some cool people to talk to about sciency stuff without them booking it in the opposite direction with their fingers in their ears. We've gone on two field trips, which have really helped reinforce my ideas for what I want to do after college.
